Tasting notes
Rich, lightly spiced dark fruit on the nose. Dark and white-peppery on the palate. Dry, fine tannins. More sustained than the previous wine. Fresh but lacks verve. (JH)

Bright red-ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of black raspberry, mocha and coffee. Very ripe on the palate but juicy, tight and gripping, with superb energy to its dark berry, floral and mineral flavors. Finishes with some superripe notes and firm tannic spine. Really refreshes the palate on the very long finish. The crop level was a full 45 hectoliters per hectare here.
About the producer

Domaine Faiveley is one of Burgundy’s most important wine producers. The family-owned estate, now in the hands of the seventh generation, is one of the largest in the region, with significant holdings in both the Côte d’Or and the Côte Chalonnaise.
