From vines planted between 1908 and 1910, the 2022 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese feinherb "Ur-alte Reben" offers a beautifully rich and refined bouquet of ripe fruits and finely crushed stones. Round on the palate, this is as aromatic as the Bömer but certainly lighter, more savory and vital. This is the Spätlese of the Bömer style, if you will, even though this Spätlese comes from a parcel that is one kilometer apart. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023.

This is not only a slate bomb it is also an umami bomb, and this combination marks this out as unique dry Mosel riesling. Mind-blowing concentration of peachy fruit and a thousand delicately spicy nuances. Totally dazzling finish that leaves no trace of doubt! Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
