Score 91-94/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2011

(vinified entirely with whole clusters for the first time) Deep red. Very ripe aromas of flowers, licorice, pepper and wild mint, plus an exotic whiff of rum raisin ice cream. Then surprisingly broad and creamy after the aromatic nose; an impressively large-scaled, full wine that is evolving very slowly. This will need longer elevage to develop more complexity. Made like Musigny, notes Hervet, adding that this parcel is actually part of Domaine Prieur's Musigny holding.
