Medium red-ruby. Scented aromas of black cherry, licorice and oak. Moderately dense but juicy and bright, with lovely clarity of flavor. Tightly wound and violety. Finishes with rather elegant tannins for Clos Vougeot and excellent length.

Saturated full ruby. Vibrant, pungent aromas of blackberry, mint, licorice and minerals. Penetrating acids give definition to the flavors of blackberry, violet, mint and liqueur-like chocolate. Extremely primary and in need of further elevage Finishes with superb persistence and huge, chewy tannins that arrive quite late. Should make a classic, ageworthy Clos Vougeot.
