Solid crimson. Luscious, almost rudely ripe fruit. Lacks delicacy. But there is a mouthful of ripe fruit here, certainly, Just a bit heavy handed and a little too oaky on the finish, It might just develop some finesse but it's pretty bitter on the finish. (JR)

Light, bright red. Crunchy fruit and rather brutal. Very tough tannins on the finish. (JR)

Medium red. Captivating nose combines bitter cherry, dried flowers, allspice, incense and smoky oak. Then suave, silky and harmonious, with very rich flavors of cherry and smoked meat. This has the plump middle-palate extract to support its serious tannins, which dust the front teeth. Long and sexy on the aftertaste.

Full red-ruby color. Wild aromas of raspberry, smoked meat and earth; pure and complex. Superrich, dry and broad, with noteworthy volume to its flavors of game and brown spices. Best today on the rising, impressively long finish, which shows some smoky Taransaud notes. ("The more minerally wines wouldn't go as well with Taransaud," notes Hervet.) Plenty of structure and solidity here for aging.
