2020 Morey St Denis En la Rue de Vergy

There are notes of lemon, cream, spice and minerals, with the combination of crisp acidity and lushly ripe citrus and apple fruit carrying the wine to an imposing finish. Bruno Clair has just over a hectare here, high on the slope above the Morey end of Bonnes Mares, planted half red and half white. There is little topsoil, yet the vines produce a wine of significant richness, although a fresh, almost bracing acidity balances this.
