The 2015 Chambertin Grand Cru seems to display some stem addition on the nose, but it is in sync with the scents of cranberry leaf and wild strawberry, though I would have expected a little more ripeness. The medium-bodied palate offers succulent tannin, crisp acidity and fine depth and freshness, but the finish is very compact and is not as fluid as some of its peers. This is difficult to read and will certainly require several years in bottle. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
