Score 89+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2008

Good deep red. Dark cherry, currant and licorice aromas. Juicier and more sharply delineated than the Chaignots, with firm acids and spicy and floral components giving the palate lovely lift. Finishes with dusty tannins that reach the front teeth, and a juicy freshness that suggests this will be outstanding with seven or eight years of cellaring.
