Bright ruby. Very pale rim. Rather simple, fruity nose. Easy but rather more like a fruity red wine than a Chambolle to me. Even a little soft. (JR)

(tasted from cuve; this was to have been bottled in December) Medium red. Aromas of ripe blackberry pie and flowers. Juicy, floral and brisk, with very good cut and length. Boasts penetrating fruit without hardness.

Sweet, round and fleshy on the nose and then wonderfully luscious fruit on the palate with very fine tannins. A very forward wine. The acidity is well compensated for by lots of ripe fruit, though there is a slight lack of structure. (JR)
