Bright medium red. Pure, refined nose offers scents of redcurrant, peony, rose petal, mint and orange peel. Juicy and elegant, with lovely cut giving razor-sharp focus to the red fruit, spice, floral and mineral flavors. Classically dry and youthfully imploded today, even a bit wiry and tart, but the wine's saline stony minerality and firm tannic spine promise a graceful evolution in bottle. Impresses more for its finesse than for its flesh.

Bright, deep red. Lovely high-pitched perfume of cranberry, raspberry, rose peal and crushed stone, accented by a pungent whiff of blood orange. Silky, sweet and seamless, conveying an impression of density without any weight. Broad, savory and dry on the back half, finishing with wonderfully suave tannins and outstanding building length. Superb.
A background touch of wood serves as a relatively neutral foil for the elegant, pure and airy red berry fruit liqueur aromas that enjoy added nuance from the presence of spice, earth and smoke. There is a very classy mouth feel to the refined medium-bodied flavors that are supported by notably fine-grained tannins on the dusty, deep, complex and exceptionally long finish. This is a wine of high quality plus it's very stylish. Tasted: Jan 14, 2013. Drink: 2023+
