Tasting notes
The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois, which comes from parcels sited to the north of the village, has a well-defined nose with redcurrant and dark cherry scents, hints of potpourri coming through with aeration but always very discreet. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, a little flesh with fine acidity, understated towards the finish that obviously does not have the grip of previous vintages. As such, enjoy this over the next five to seven years.

About the producer

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
