2023 Tablas Creek Pinot Noir Full Circle

The 2023 Pinot Noir Full Circle was fermented with roughly one-third of its whole bunches retained, and it matured in barrique. It leads with an earthy nose of dried red fruits, accompanied by subtle spice accents, followed by a fleshy palate and a slightly hollow finish underpinned by chalky tannins. I found this a touch more rustic than I would have preferred and thus a qualitative outlier in the otherwise superb 2023 Tablas Creek lineup.
