The 2024 Chambertin Grand Cru has an almost pastille-like purity on the nose with red cherries and crushed strawberry scents, although it does not boast the amplitude and complexity of the Clos-de-Bèze (as usual). The palate is medium-bodied with quite plush and rounded tannins. All curves 'n no edges, it sashays along nicely, allowing the Clos-de-Bèze and indeed the Clos Saint-Jacques to have the appellation's gold and silver medals.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
