The 2020 Chambertin Grand Cru has a intense bouquet with beautifully-defined, mineral-driven red fruit laced with wilted rose petal and light sous-bois scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, quite sappy and demonstrating fine depth. Just a little chewiness here, although maybe the Bonnes-Mares, dare I say, has a little more precision?
