Tasting notes
Cidery apple and pear accompanied by sweaty salinity dominate the nose and the silken, expansive palate of this tangy, saliva-inducing offering. Apple seed piquancy glowingly extends the brightly juicy finish and a hint of vanilla bean adds site-typical allure, all without engendering outright bitterness. There is an impressive sense of stone underpinning that sets off the fruit without any sense of austerity.

The 2014 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling trocken GG Alte Reben offers a noble, very clear, elegant, intense and subtle slate bouquet. Highly elegant and expressive on the palate this is a beautiful dry Riesling with perfect sweetness and balance. This wine is full-bodied, piquant and mineral, very complex and persistent. A great Mosel Riesling that would benefit from further bottle aging.
