The top California cuvee, the 1998 Pinot Noir Heirloom Vineyard (380 cases) boasts a dark ruby color as well as a gorgeous bouquet of plums, black cherries, and cola (or is it root beer?), medium to full body, outstanding stuffing and purity, sweet tannin, and integrated acidity. It is a well-delineated, concentrated Pinot for consuming over the next 5-7 years. (Not yet released) Tel. (707) 257-5300

Very good deep red-ruby color. Sappy aromas of raspberry, cassis, cola and spicy oak. Thick, lush and velvety in the mouth; denser and larger-scaled than the '97. Finishes very long, with smooth, suave tannins.
