Tasting notes
The 2020 Fracture is a varietal Syrah that smolders up from the glass with a dark and rich blend of savory herbs and earth tones evolving into musky red currants. Cool-toned and lifted in feel, this impresses with its polished fruit profile and inner floral thrust. The 2020 finishes spicy and long with a liquid floral staining and primary concentration.

The 2020 Fracture 22, matured for 22 months in French oak, has a deep ruby-purple color and slowly unfolding aromas of cassis, tar, juniper, coffee and laurel leaves. The full-bodied palate features abundant, chewy tannins, surprising freshness and a detailed finish, keeping it classy while capturing generous, sunny California fruit. Drink it over the next 3-5 years after some time in the decanter.
Deep, fresh yet almost a little voluptuous, with hot stones, meat and violets to the black and blue fruit. Very silky and full-bodied on the palate. Really seamless and juicy, with impressive crunch as well as depth and density. A stunner from Paso! Drink or hold.
