2005 Domaine Frédéric Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux Saint-Jacques 1er Cru

Good red-ruby. Black raspberry, black cherry and a stony element on the nose. At once reticent and ripe, with good density of ripe fruits and a firm stony underpinning. Finishes very ripe but a bit inexpressive and not currently revealing the sweetness on the back end that it shows in the middle palate.
