Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2025-2045, Neal Martin, Dec 2020
The 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru comes from the higher tracts of the vineyard. Including 50% whole bunch, it has a complex and engaging bouquet of tertiary black fruit, rose petal and subtle tobacco aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a tightly coiled entry, quite structured and closed at the moment, hence the longer élevage (this will be bottled in June 2021). This Clos Vougeot has good potential but patience is needed.
