Tasting notes
The 2009 Latricieres-Chambertin is dazzling but also quite introspective. Endless layers of fruit flow gracefully as the wine opens up a bit in the glass. A silky, sexy finish supported by vibrant saline notes leaves a lasting impression. Here, too, my feeling is that the Latricieres is closing down, but that just increases the anticipation for the day the wine is ready to reveal the full breadth of its personality. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029. Various American importers, including: Skurnik Wines, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300, Chelsea Ventures, Chicago, IL; tel.
