Tasting notes
The 2023 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is pure and seamless, bursting with aromas of cherries, sweet berries, vine smoke and spices, framed by a deft touch of new oak. Medium to full-bodied, suave and enveloping, with a cool core of fruit, supple tannins and a long, saline finish, it's particularly charming this year.

The 2023 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a pure, well-defined, quite floral bouquet with violet-tinged red cherries and blueberry fruit. Perhaps it lacks the complexity that I found in the 2022 last year. The palate is smooth and ripe, very "sleek" in style. This is one cuvée marked by the warmth of the growing season, with a high-toned yet enjoyable finish. This will give 15 to 20 years of drinking pleasure.
