Score 96/100 · Drink 2030-2055, Yohan Castaing, Wine Advocate, May 2026

The 2024 Condrieu La Doriane, vinified and matured entirely in barrel, is sourced from parcels in Côteau de Chéry, Côteau de Vernon, Colombier, Côte Chatillon and Château de Volan. It reveals a refined, slightly toasted bouquet marked by attractive reduction, combining the exuberance typical of Condrieu with a degree of restraint rarely encountered in the appellation. Full-bodied, dense and round, it marries power with precision, remaining racy, ethereal and saline through the finish. It's a superb rendition that should rival the excellent 2023 with time in the cellar.

The 2024 Condrieu La Doriane brings together grapes from five different lieux-dits (Côte Chatillon, Vernon, Chéry, Verlieu and Volan) and is aged for ten months in 100% new oak barriques. Pronounced flintstone, lightly ripe apricot, white peach and melon lead the aromatics. Richly weighted, concentrated and dense, the 2024 is a gorgeous La Doriane, carrying its final notes forward with impressive persistence on the long, lingering finish.

100% new oak. Considering the oak usage, it is well integrated on the nose. The palate has texture and the oak is there but not dominant. Rich on the mid palate and, on the finish, the creaminess and subtle toastiness grow. Attractive and powerful. (AC)
