Tasting notes
(bottled in July): Bright medium red. Notes of violet, peppery herbs and spices lift aromas of black cherry and licorice. The peppery quality carries through onto the palate, where a touch of berry sweetness is leavened by saline minerality. Offers good texture and gulpability and should gain in volume with three or four years in the bottle. Tannins are firm but not dry.

The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges La Charmotte has a lifted raspberry and redcurrant bouquet, with rose petal scents coming through and imparting a sense of refinement and sensuality. The palate is well balanced with supple, ripe red berry fruit with fine thread of acidity, smooth and with a lovely roundness on the finish. This village cru is worthy of premier cru on its label and comes highly recommended.
Mid crimson. Very scented and confident. Just a touch of oak? But most attractive and appetising. Spicy and broad. Some sweetness to this. (JR)
(30% vendange entier ; harvested in two passes, the first for a whole-cluster vinification; the second pass required three different sortings): Deep, bright red. Wild, brambly aromas of black cherry, dark berries, violet, rose, leather and menthol. Sappy, ripe and sweet, offering good thickness without coming across as heavy. At once fat and juicy, with purple fruit and mineral flavors carrying through on the back end.
