Tasting notes
Aromas of peonies, sweet berry fruit, plums and woodsmoke introduce the 2019 Côte de Nuits-Villages Clos du Chapeau, a medium-bodied, lively and charming wine that concludes with a perfumed, mouthwateringly saline finish. This will offer a broad drinking window.

The 2019 Côte de Nuits Village Clos du Chapeau, a monopole in Comblanchien and a cuvée that includes 35% whole bunch, comes across a little smudged on the nose, one of the most exotic among the domaine’s range of wines, with glimpses of fresh prune filtering through the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, slightly reduced at the time of tasting and tight on the finish. Broody and a bit grumpy compared to others.
