Tasting notes
Scents of fresh apple garlanded in lily-of-the-valley lead into a firm, buoyant, generously juicy palate, with tangy, zesty notes of fresh lime lending invigoration to a sustained finish nicely accented by wet stone and the bitter side of the vanilla bean.

The 2015 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett is clear, fresh, precise and smoky on the nose where ripe lemon flavors are presented over freshly crushed stone meal. Piquant and slate-like on the palate, this Riesling has great finesse, vitality and a lush, perfectly ripe tropical fruit. With a lingering salinity, this is a gorgeously sensual and finessed Kabinett with very fine and stimulating acidity. This beautiful Kabinett is sourced from the younger vines in the Sonnenuhr, whereas the GG comes from the older vines.
AP number 08 16. Smoky nose but with more substance on the palate than the Brauneberger Juffer Kabinett tasted recently. Stones and substance – something to get your teeth into. Great purity too. GV (JR)
