The 2024 Dellchen GG Norheimer Riesling is deep and dense on the nose, with ripe, juicy fruit, good substance and fullness and fine tannins that are already apparent in the aroma. Juicy and full-bodied on the palate, this is a powerful and still somewhat loud and sharp Dellchen with potential to refine. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden, August 2025.

AP number 24 25. Smooth and somehow creamy on the nose. Very polished and herbal with perfectly judged fruit/acid balance. Not ready but very promising and intense. (JR)
Cool, smoky, dancing. More race than refinement with an unbelievably saline core. When the food is salty, so the saying goes, the cook is in love. Does that count here too? Grippier and more driven than the Hermannshöhle; with verve and vitality. A stunningly minimalist and filigreed approach that succeeds in a vintage with maximum challenges. (PS)
The 2024 Riesling Norheimer Dellchen Grosses Gewächs was made in tiny quantities this year. It is from a porphyry site with shale cover. Flint, herb and lemon aromas come together in a most enticing combination. The palate is taut, svelte and luminous. Stony and fine, elegance runs through it like sunlight, heightening the citric freshness imbued with peppery, zesty savor. The 2024 is so linear and bright yet completely ripe. Cornellius says that they picked just 1,500 kg per hectare. (Bone-dry)
