Tasting notes
52% Chardonnay, 48% Pinot Noir from the most prestigious vineyards of the Montagne de Reims; Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne and, from the Côte des Blancs; Le Mesnil, Cramant, Oger and Chouilly. Despite difficult harvest conditions, the harvest produced plenty of heavy and healthy bunches. Following the harvest, only the best juice is used. The wine is bottle-aged in the cellars for at least seven years. Cellarmaster is Mr Michel Fauconnet. Autolytic nose and lightly sweet and floral but not top drawer. (JR)

Light and fresh and zesty but awfully, almost intimidatingly well mannered. Well balanced. Low key. (JR)
Light yellow, with a vigorous mousse. Pungent and ripe, showing a fresh bouquet of pear, orange, peach skin, cherry pit and honeysuckle. Brisk citrus and orchard fruit flavors offer refreshing bite, racy lift and sharp focus, with good mineral snap on the close. Gained weight, power and a pleasant citrus pith bitterness with air. I wouldn't hesitate to hold a few bottles of this in the cellar.
