Tasting notes
The 2022 Cuvée Chloe is a co-fermented blend of 55% Syrah, 33% Grenache, 9% Viognier and 3% Graciano aged in 43% new French oak. The nose is dominated by the Viognier component, with perfumed aromas of potpourri and rose water mingling with green peppercorns and ripe black fruits. The palate is plush, dense and opulent, transitioning to a somewhat astringent, sharp finish driven by stemmy tannins and new-oak framing.

Juicy red and blue fruits, peppery herbs, graphite, and leather all shine in the 2022 Chloé, a Syrah-dominated blend that has more Viognier than normal. It's another ripe, medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and approachable 2022 from this team that's already drinking nicely. The full blend is 55% Syrah, 33% Grenache, 9% Viognier, and the rest Graciano, all aged 15 months in 43% new French oak, with a full 28% of the blend brought up in Amphora.
Violet and lavender florals come together with black raspberries and garrigue as the 2022 Chloe smolders up from the glass. This opens with a balanced inner sweetness and crisp wild berry fruits propelled by a burst of zesty acidity as tactile mineral tones add lovely grip. It finishes remarkably fresh, with medium length, sweet tannins and a licorice tinge. This is a more approachable rendition of Chloe yet maintains a fantastic balance.
