It has a medium ruby color and scents of blackcurrant and blueberry fruits with touches of laurel, forest floor and violets. The 2017 The Banshee is a Southern Rhône-like blend of 40% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 22% Grenache, and 13% Graciano. It's another plum/purple-hued 2017 from Scott that offers a great bouquet of blackberries, ground pepper, candied violets, and Asian spices. Showing a touch more meatiness and chocolate with time in the glass, it's full-bodied and has a rounded, seamless texture, great tannins, and a terrific finish. You could put this in just about any lineup of great Southern Rhône blends out there and it would do just fine.
