The 2014 Hommage A Nos Pairs Reserve is a blend of 95% Syrah, 3% Grenache and 2% Viognier, all co-fermented. It opens with a deep garnet-purple color and a fragrant nose of blueberries, warm black plums and blackberry compote with hints of dark chocolate, pepper, fragrant earth and cinnamon stick. Full-bodied, concentrated and with a finely played, rounded tannic structure, it has tons of freshness and great length.

Already in bottle, the 2014 Hommage A Nos Pairs is another huge, unctuous and petal to the metal effort that's overflowing with notions of creme de cassis, caramelized black cherries, toasty oak and creamy licorice. Coming from limestone and shale soils and a blend of 95% Syrah, 3% Grenache and 2% Viognier, from tiny yields, it stays fresh and lively, has no hard edges and a soft, supple, hard to resist personality. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.
Dark purple. Highly perfumed black and blue fruit, cola and Indian spice aromas show very good clarity and pick up hints of vanilla and candied licorice with air. Full-bodied and sappy in the mouth, offering sweet dark berry and cherry-vanilla flavors and building smokiness. Pliant, slow-building tannins frame the finish, which lingers with outstanding, fruit-driven persistence.
