Diel's 2020 Pittermännchen Riesling Spätlese shows fully ripe and slightly caramelized fruit on the intense and finely spicy/flinty nose. Full-bodied, round and savory on the palate, this is a lush and generous yet delicate and refined, vital and stimulating Spätlese with a mouthwatering piquant finish. This has good structure, and in seven to 10 years, it should be a wine to be served during a meal. 8% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.

Stunningly fresh Spätlese with Amalfi-lemon, lime and Thai-basil aromas. Very clean and focused with juicy and subtle fruit, the very crisp, lemony acidity driving the long, slatey finish. Thereâs quite some grape sweetness there, but you barely feel it. Drink or hold.
