Tasting notes
Score 91/100 · James Suckling, Jul 2023

This self-confidently dry and well-structured Gevrey-Chambertin has pronounced earthy and savory notes with a hint of soy sauce. It really benefits from some aeration in the glass, the delicate red fruits opening up nicely. Try to be patient, because even just one more year in the bottle will really help this prototypical expression of the appellation. Drinkable now, but best from 2024.

Cask sample. Light, almost feeble, nose and quite a bit of acidity. Not a charmer for the moment though it may bloom and last well. (JR)
