Score 87/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Deep red-ruby. Smoky oak, chocolate, espresso bean and earth on the nose. Fat and ripe, with flavors of redcurrant and leather sweetened by the oak. Slightly aggressive pinot, rather New World in character. Could use a bit more clarity. Finishes with dusty tannins.
