Score 88/100 · Drink 2012-2025, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Jul 2020
Aromas of red berries, raw cocoa and spices introduce the 2009 Fixin 1er Cru Clos de la Perrière, a medium to full-bodied, open-knit and melting wine with a delicate core of fruit and chalky structuring tannins that assert themselves on the finish. Fully mature, it's drinking well today.

Pale ruby. Ruddy appeal and lots of sweetness. Real intensity and richness. With some purity and tension too. This is the property I visited in 2010 and where I made this video . Long and satisfying. Exciting! (JR)

In one-year-old barrels – 40% new oak generally. Fairly layered and rich – not Grand Cru quality though! Lots of sweetness. Quite pruney and with acidity. (JR)
