2016 Hudson Ranch Old Master

The Old Master Vineyard is located to the south of the winery - just off to the side as you drive into the winery parking lot. It is planted half to Cabernet Franc and half to Merlot. Composed of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Old Master sings of chocolate covered cherries, mulberries, wild blueberries and red roses with touches of dusty soil, sautéed herbs, pencil lead and dried mint. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is laden with perfumed, earthy red and black fruit flavors, framed by firm, fine grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and mineral laced.
