Pear and lime are featured on a fetching nose and a polished palate of delicacy, clarity and lift. Inner-mouth floral hints, alkaline impingements and mouthwatering salinity serve for delightful counterpoint leading into a lusciously-lingering finish. Prinz let the alcohol here creep a bit higher than usual because even so there are 50 grams of residual sugar and more might have tipped the wine into excess sweetness. (There is another Jungfer Kabinett that Prinz as usual calls his “gold capsule” to signify its origins in the original core Juffer vineyard; but unfortunately he did not have a bottle left that I could taste.)
