2018 La Basseta

There are notes of very high quality oak in the 2018 La Basseta, a single-vineyard pure Garnacha planted in 2000 in the village of La Villella Alta (it's now a Vi de Vila, or village wine), and the 2018 now carries the organic certification. 2018 was a cooler (or maybe less warm...) year with more rain, and the wines have more freshness and balance despite still being very powerful at 15.5% alcohol. This is a long-distance runner with stuffing, balance and freshness to develop nicely in bottle. 5,000 bottles were filled in February 2021.
