Tasting notes
Sivi, meaning “gray” in Slovenian, refers to the naturally pink-gray skins of Pinot Grigio and reflects the cross-border identity of the 2023 Sivi from Radikon. The estate cannot identify Pinot Grigio on the label under IGT regulations. The wine shows a striking golden, copper-tinged hue, or a pink-gold color, whose intensity varies with the vintage. On the palate, bright tannins meet vibrant acidity, creating tension and freshness, while mineral notes carry through the finish. On the Ponca soils of Oslavia, this macerated expression highlights both structure and a lifted, pink-toned fruit profile.

The 2023 "S" Sivi has a pale ruby hue and a bouquet of crushed black cherries and autumnal spices, lifted by nuances of freshly split pine. It reverberates with zesty tension as sour citrus tones mix with saline minerals, all supported by a core of vibrant acidity. The palate is thoroughly cleansed, finishing with medium length and a gently chewy sensation as a tinge of tangerine lingers.
