2013 Karl Erbes Erdener Pralat Riesling Auslese

Ultra-ripe but very clear fruit aromas on the elegant though somewhat reductive nose of the 2013 Erdener Prälat Riesling Auslese * lead to a delicate and stunningly racy and piquant palate with lots of finesse, which has currently more in common with the Würzgarten Auslesen than with the regular Prälat Auslese. Also, the finish is fresh and juicy and far less opulent than a Prälat can be. However, loaded with 7.22% alcohol plus 134 grams residual sugar, this sweet but zesty Auslese is very promising. It just needs 10 to 15 years of your patience.
