1998 Treana Winery Meritage Red

Deep red. Plum, cherry, leather, mocha, smoked meat, spice cake and mint on the nose. Smooth and supple, with a restrained sweetness and decent fat. Could use a bit more personality, but this is a nicely harmonious blend with a silky texture. Finishes with light, dusty tannins and notes of smoke and leather.
