A serious second wine of Clerc Milon that gives a hint to the quality of the grand vin. Good vibrancy with medium body and a juicy midpalate. Tannins are tight but fine-grained. 49% merlot, 41% cabernet sauvignon, 9% cabernet franc and 1% carmenere.

The 2024 Pastourelle De Clerc Milon has a deep purple hue as well as a ripe, juicy, almost crunchy style. Black cherries, blue fruits, graphite, crushed stone, and lead pencil notes all define the aromatics, and it's nicely balanced and medium-bodied on the palate. Based on 49% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and a splash of Carmenère, aging in used barrels, it hit 13.2% alcohol with a pH of 3.64.

Offering up discreet aromas of dark berries, licorice and plums, the 2024 Pastourelle de Clerc Milon is medium-bodied, lively and fine-boned, with an ample, open-knit core and delicate, powdery tannins.

Love the smoky sandalwood edge, and a punch of dark fruit that really grips on and shows lovely depth through the mid palate, good job in this vintage, austere on the finish but with a kick. Harvest 24 September to 6 October. 3.64 pH. No new oak
