Score 88/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Medium-deep ruby. Liqueur-like aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, cassis, smoked meat, minerals and maple syrup. Juicy, intensely flavored and medium-sweet; not unctuous but offers very good intensity and snap. Flavors of black fruits and licorice. A round, nicely balanced wine whose slightly fiery but persistent finish features rather fine tannins and good grip.
