The 2009 Rendition is 53% Syrah, 41% Grenache and 6% Zinfandel that spent 18 months in mostly French oak, 50% new, before being bottled with no fining or filtration. It shows good up-front juiciness in its dark fruit but then loses some persistence on the mid-palate. Blackberries, blueberries, licorice and spices linger on the finish.
