Score 87/100 · Jeb Dunnuck
The 2010 Écluse Rendition is a Rhône like blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Syrah, and 20% Mourvedre that spent 18 months in barrel. It shows an opaque, ruby color to go with ripe aromas of black cherry and black raspberry styled fruit, tar, licorice, and sweet oak/vanilla. Balanced and well put together on the palate, it turns dry and chewy on the finish. If the tannin integrates, it will merit a higher score. Nevertheless, it should have 3-5 years of life.
