Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
(16% alcohol with 18 grams per liter of residual sugar) Red-ruby. Exotic, port-like aromas of roasted currant and menthol. Quite sweet in the mouth, but brisk, perfectly integrated acids give the strong flavors of strawberry, raspberry, currant and pipe tobacco a penetrating quality. Robust and very long on the aftertaste. A lovely pure expression of fruit with a snappy sugar/acid balance.
