Tasting notes
Deep violet. Pungent kirsch, dark berry preserve, pipe tobacco, vanilla and floral aromas pick up a smoky nuance with air. Deep and expansive on the palate, offering concentrated mulberry, bitter cherry, rose pastille and candied licorice flavors and a sweet mocha flourish. Shows impressive persistence on the pliant finish, which is framed by round, even tannins. Aged for 20 months in new French oak.

The 2019 Micho is a blend of free-run Merlot (51%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (49%) aged 20 months in 100% new French oak. Deep ruby, it has pretty aromas of blackberries, lavender, grilled meats and dried herbs. The palate is surprisingly lifted and silky, and it has a long, spicy finish.
Tasted out of barrel, the 2019 Micho has a similar opulence and decadence as well as a beautiful herbal edge in its cedary black fruits, meaty, roasted herbs, and chocolate aromatics, full-bodied richness, and great finish.
