Palish bright red. Pungent aromas of raspberry, minerals and orange peel; this is more like it. Sweet and silky in the mouth, with explosive flavors of raspberry, spices and minerals, and a hint of chocolatey torrefaction. Ripe acids prolong the tangy, spicy finish. Very sexy wine, showing much better today than the Orveaux.

(25-year-old vines) Bright medium red. Nose offers a lovely mineral pungency along with sweet cherry and raspberry notes. Supple and creamy but juicy, dry and stylish, with noteworthy energy in the mouth. The mineral character follows through to the brisk, persistent aftertaste. Tannins are fine-grained.
