(71% zinfandel, 17% syrah and 12% mourvedre) Deep red. Zesty cherry and red berry aromas are brightened by exotic Asian spices and minerals. Fresh red fruit flavors deliver a potent punch while maintaining focus, finishing with good, chewy length. I like this wine's energy.

The 2005 Problem Child (71% Zinfandel, 17% Syrah, and 12% Mourvedre) possesses beautiful raspberry and briery fruit as well as copious quantities of roasted herbs, pepper, and meaty characteristics. With excellent texture, full-bodied, powerful flavors (15.6% alcohol), good acidity, and a robust finish, it should drink well for 5-6 years. Tel. (805) 227-0797; Fax (805) 227-4868
