Tasting notes
Deep shimmering ruby-red. Heady, spice-tinged raspberry and cherry liqueur aromas are complicated by assertive lavender and mineral qualities, and a peppery note emerges with air. Seamless and energetic in the mouth, offering sharply delineated red and blue fruit preserve and floral pastille flavors and a touch of baking spices. Closes juicy and impressively long, displaying sneaky tannins and resonating floral and spice notes. This suave wine could pass for a top-notch, ripe-vintage Pinot Noir from Arroyo Grande or thereabouts. Made with 40% whole clusters.

Medium ruby, the 2017 Grenache has sexy, layered aromas of ripe raspberries, red cherries, strawberries, tangerine and lilac perfume with an earthy undercurrent and loads of amaro-like accents. The medium-bodied palate is incredibly layered and intense, with a pleasantly chalky frame and seamless freshness, finishing very long. Lovely!
