Score 93/100 · Drink 2024-2031, Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2023

The 2020 Ripper, a varietal Grenache, is decidedly savory in style, blending crushed black raspberry, savory herbs, olive and ashen stone. It's softly textured with a liquid floral concentration and tart wild berry fruits. This finishes with a gentle staining of fine tannin and spiced citrus nuances, adding a juicy sensation.

The 2020 Ripper 22, matured 22 months in French oak, takes some time to reveal a lovely fragrance of cranberry and pomegranate with touches of juniper, dried herbs and charcuterie. The palate is medium-bodied with delicate, perfumed fruits, gently chewy tannins and surprising freshness calling you in for another sip on the finish.

Floral and rich nose with sweet red and blue berries. Some sweet spices, too. Medium body with chalky tannins on the palate loaded with plenty of blueberries. Drink now.
